We are organising a short photosafari trip to Jogyarkarta and Borobudur from 28th April to 2nd May 2012. We are taking advantage of the 1st of May holiday. This is a photography trip to Jogjakarta and Borobudur. Some of the places that we will be visiting are Karaton (Solo Palace), Waduk Cengklik Lake, Pasar Gawok, Klayar Beach, Traditional Batik factory and of course the famed Borobudur Temple at sunrise. This photography trip to Nepal consists of visiting some places of interest in Kathmandu like Thamel Bazaar, Bodhnath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, other places of interest and trekking up to Manang and back. Last year we trekked up the Annapurna trek from Nayapul to Gorepani/Poon Hill and Grandruk. The oldest participant was a 68 years old gentleman. This year we will be trekking to Manang. We have been getting a lot of requests from members asking us to do a local PMPE. We have given a lot of thoughts about it and have formulated a program that incorporates both Stages 1 and 2 of the PMPE (PhotoMalaysia PhotoSafari Experience) into 5 days and 4 night’s program which includes both theory and hands-on practical shooting workshop. This is the first time that photosafari.com.my is organizing a winter photosafari. We were inspired by various winter scenes we have seen from other photographers. Our mind’s eye has been overloaded with images that we need to put on camera. We have timed this photosafari to be just outside the main tourist season so that we can hopefully have unobstructed views of the winter grandeur. We are pleased to announce our PMPE 10. A PhotoSafari Trip to Komodo Island in Indonesia from the 8th to 12th June 2011. We will be flying in from Kuala Lumpur to Denpasar (Bali) and then take an internal flight to Labuan Bajo. From there we will have a boat ride to Komodo Island. There will be lots of opportunities for landscape, people, macro and underwater photography. We will also be stopping by a lot of small villages along the way.
