This is our 3rd edition of the Guerrilla Photography Exhibition (GPE)
GPE provides a platform for budding photographers to showcase their photos and get notice. What is unique about this platform is that this is a freestyle photography exhibition that is not curated. The photographers themselves curate their own exhibits. This is akin to visual freedom enjoyed by today’s generation. This exhibition is been held over 2 weekends from 5th to 20th April with a changeover of exhibits every week. This year we have more than 50 photographers showcasing their works.
We intend to expand this concept to other states in Malaysia if there are enough support from our Sponsors, Media partners and participants.
Here are some of the pictures of the first session on the 5th of April. If you are interested to know more, why don’t you drop by at Publika, Solaris and find out for yourself. The Exhibition is from 5th to 20th April and is open from 10 am to 10 pm.
The night before the exhibition
The display boards were erected the night before and the participants began to display their photos at 8 am in the morning
I am gonna hang these curtains to hide my photos
With a little bit of help
Confuse! Which photo should I use?
Maybe I just put up one photo.
I am gonna provide the stool for the audience to sit down and view the picture at eye level.
Damn! I just forgot to bring the other photo. What shall I do?
Shhhh! these photos were taken with a smart phone. I just need to make a big frame to impress the other photographers
Where did the other photo went?
Here is how you hang these picture frames guys.
Putting up the posters for our Sponsor
It is tiring work hanging these photos. I might as well have a picnic here.
Hey! You should be hanging those photos on the boards not the floor.
Still haven’t decided which photo to put up first.
I am almost done
What is this red ring for?
I can’t decide which girl I will bring out for dinner tonight.
Damn! I have nothing to show this time maybe I should take some photos for the next GPE
I am ready
